First World Bindi Day was held on first day of Navrati , Oct 2020. Due to pandameic limitations it was mainly online event with many social media participation from many students as well as community members. Many wore this bindi/tilak in all shapes and forms.

WORLD BINDI DAY IN MEDIA

First inaugural World Bindi Day started

Archita Nemalikanti, a 16-year-old high school student launched the first-ever World Bindi Day on October 17, 2020. She partnered with the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) and Hindu Student Council (HSC), to organize a virtual event uniting Hindus worldwide to show their solidarity with the bindi, one of the most ancient Hindu symbols.
